Background to the company

ERA²¹ Ltd. was founded in 2007 by Andrew and Claire Gray.

Our business is located in the hinterland of the Brecon Beacons National Park (UK). However, with the aid of modern technology and a zeal for packing overnight bags, we work across the UK and Europe.

We share a lifelong passion and interest in pushing the boundaries to make better places for living; including for people and all that is "natural."  So we turn our heads and hands to a host of different types and styles of work that we will describe later.

We are WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get. There are no suits with a tribe of assistants behind us. We do pretty much all the work, although Dr Gwenda Dinsdale organises our travel logistics and takes care of the office administration when we are away from our base.

We have worked in the environmental and grant funding field for 18 years in Wales.  Before that we worked in Africa, which is where we met, doing development aid, environmental and landscaping jobs.
