ERA21 Ltd submitted an Interreg IVB North West Europe grant application, "Rural Alliances" on behalf of 12 EU partners to deal with demographic challenges in rural areas. The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority jointly commissioned ERA21 to develop a partnership from 6 different EU countries to take a new approach to improving vibrancy in rural area through the creation of a new form of alliance. This new form of alliance will combine enterprise skills with community values to set up new economic and social structures that are better able to respond to the demands of the changing rural demographic changes.
The 10 million euro project will be essential to capitlise on the skills and knowledge of the different partners, such as new financial engineering techniques, ambassador schemes, clustering, do democracy & providing services on behalf of the public sector. The outcome of the application will be determined in July 2011.
Andrew,
Yes, received it. Can I just say that if the project is not approved it will not be for any lack of commitment or professionalism on the part of Era 21. I think that your approach to conceiving and putting the project together has been exemplary. For my own part I wish to have been able to dedicate more time to comments on the various drafts and what not, but that was simply not possible.
I hope we get the chance to work together on this project.
Your glass of red is well deserved sir.
